Lincoln Memorial Accelerated BSN

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

I have applied to Lincoln Memorial's Accelerated BSN program in Cedar Bluff for fall 2014. I was wondering if anyone else had applied to this program as well. I am curious if anyone knows the percentage of individuals that get accepted to each program. I have a 2 C's as pre-reqs and I am really nervous. I like the plan of this program a lot!! Is there anyone that knows anything or in the program that could help me out!!

Thanks

I applied around early December and I got an email saying that I will get an acceptance or rejection letter by the end of this month. I'm not sure how competitive the program is. I hope I get in though :(. When did you apply and have you heard back yet?

I actually applied in September and just got my acceptance letter yesterday in the mail! I'm so excited! Do you know anyone that has gone through this program or know anything about this program? Good Luck!

I got my acceptance yesterday in the mail too! Unfortunately, I don't really know anything.

Hey do you know anyone else on here that will be joining us this fall at LMU?

Specializes in CVICU and Cath Lab.

My wife starts in the fall, we're moving from New Orleans in August.

I'll be starting this fall and I'm so excited! Just a few weeks away! Has anyone started working the problems in the dosage calculations packet? I've been trying to practice a little bit everyday and so far it's not too bad.

Ahhh! Im so excited to find someone who will be starting in the fall too! I know, it is finally about to start. I have been working on the dosage calculations and I don't think it will be too bad.

Hi, lpc008 and all! I will also be beginning at LMU in Fall 2014 at the Cedar Bluff campus. I've been working on the dosage calculation packet for a few weeks as well. If you struggle a little with math like I do, I highly recommend picking up a used textbook at McKay (if you're local) or another used book seller. There are many good textbooks available on clinical calculations alone and they'really really not that pricey--I bought mine for about $12 and it still had an unused supplemental CD with it. Just be aware that depending on the age of the book you might see some abbreviations used throughout it that are now on the Do Not Use list (like qd and qod). Happy to see others that are heading to LMU!

Hey MTD2112, Thanks for telling me about the clinical calculations book. I actually forgot I had one similar to what you are talking about stuffed away in old textbooks. I was wondering if you have obtained the syllabi for the classes yet. I was looking over the packet that we received in the mail, and it states we should be able to get them before classes start.

I've been checking Pathway/Blackboard/WebAdvisor about three or four times a week to see if the syllabi have popped up yet (along with checking LMU e-mail and all that), but it doesn't look as though they have. I'm thinking that by general orientation and registration this Thursday they should probably start showing up very soon afterwards.
