Life Span 1 - Testing on the 17th

Published

Hello,

So I'm scheduled to take LS1 on the 17th of this month. I'm looking for all of the extra advice I can get. I took both forms of the practice exams and received a 50% and a 61%. In the past for Transistions and Reproductive I didn't do so well on the practice exams either but passed both of the actual exams with a 'C' and a 'B' respectively. All I want is to be successful with this exam as well. The Life Span exams are the last 3 I have left before the FCCA and CPNE. I feel pretty confident in my studies so far. Did all of the recommended readings and studied off of the free exam content guide. And I am continuously reviewing my practice exams. Just wondering how people were successful with this exam. Thanks in advance!

Tasha,

Planning on taking this exam in 12 days:eek:, do you remember what meds I need to study exactly. As well as anything else important you studied...

I don't have the book, however I am studying MyStudyGroup101 and Flashcard Exchange.

Thanks in advance!

Be careful with SG101 for LS1, LS2 and LS3. I skimmed through it and there were quite a few errors, especially on their practice exams. Useful as a review tool but not as a primary source.

For the Life Span exams, I recommend the Saunders :-)

I totally agree, but I did run into conflicting info between Saunders & Excelsior re: delusion intervention, blood glucose monitoring, and lithium lab ranges. I am really becoming frustrated with variations of info. I am now heading back to my books for clarification. Talk about disappointed, but at least I have a few days to re-orientate my thinking.

Since I used an older version of the Saunders, anytime I had a question about clarification I asked JoAnne on the EPN and she said ALWAYS go with what the EC recommended textbook says... but you can always ask her if you have something specific, she's always been super helpful to me :-)

Isnt she great? Over half of the posts on EPN LS2 page now are mine, lol! Talk about PIA student! I had a question on my practice exam B that I found odd. I went back this am and re-read the required reading in Fontaine, and the answer not there. I went to Saunders and there it was. Go figure.

Yes she was always awesome when I had questions! I found that alot with similarities in the EC exams and the Saunders tests. I would be like haven't I seen this one before?? and I would scroll through the practice test and not find it...and then I would flip through the Saunders and there it was, just worded another way....
