Licensure after ANCC certification

Specialties NP

Hi- Looking for some advice! I just finished my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and passed the ANCC certification exam (yay). I am however moving next month to Prague, Czech Republic for a job transfer for my husband- currently trying to figure out if I can work for there (but that is an entirely different discussion board post).

My question is ...is it beneficial for me to get a CRNP license in my current state before I move ...even though I won't be practicing as an NP in that state until we return from Europe? I currently have an RN license in the state of PA. (I will keep this up while I am away.) If I was staying stateside I know that would be the obvious next step but since I am not practicing is it necessary? Part of me is scared that if I do not do it requirements could change or my certification would somehow be invalid etc...however my ANCC certification says it is valid through 2023.

If anyone could help answer my question that would be great!

If you're planning on working for the federal government, you will need a license in any state. So I would get your state license before you move to make sure toy habe something on file.
