License in NY DWI in NJ

Nurses Criminal

Published

I am an RN, new grad, I recently made a huge mistake and got a DWI in the state of NJ. I am licensed in NY.

In NJ it is not a felony or misdemeanor, doesn't come up in criminal back ground checks but does come up in DMV checks.

My question or concern is what should I do?

Do I contact the nursing board if its not a criminal offense?

I am confused and scared and am looking for any advice or help. It is already extremely difficult getting a job and I hope I didn't ruin my possible career cause of one bad night.
