License expired Sept 30, 2020 now applying for reinstatement.

Hi everyone,

Has anybody experienced applying for license reinstatement past the expiration date? I forgot to renew so when I went online thinking it was as easy as renewing, just like how we usually do it every 2 years. Just pay with credit card, and you get your new license. I was shocked this reinstatement thing has to be submitted thru regular mail, check enclosed, with proof of required CE's. How long did yours take to process until you got your new license?

Coworker said it only took a few days to process.  They worked for a few days without a valid license, and the employer did not even notice as they didn't remind her to renew anyway.  When I worked in LTC, this sort of thing used to happen with the CNA's all the time and the employers would just 'work around' the situation.

I was working the past weeks even after the Sept 30th expiration yikes and the reason I remembered was when our HR started collecting copies of our licenses.  So I'm off the schedule for now, since I informed that I totally forgot to renew.  Like you said I hope it would only take a few days. Because I barely have any sick/vacay pay left when I used them up when I got sick with Covid few months ago. Thanks for your reply!

Hi. How long was the process?
