License by Endorsement from CA to CO

So here's my situation. I am an RN originally licensed in California. I currently work as a nurse in Texas and am applying for jobs in Colorado. Even though they are both compact states, all the hospitals I have applied to in CO require you to get a Colorado RN license within 90 days of working there. For those who have had to request the California BON verify your original license in order to get licensed in another state, how long did they take? I know the California BRN is notorious for taking a long time (it took me 6 months to get my ATT from them! For some of my friends it took longer and even cost them job offers. End rant). I just wanted to hear about others' experience who have been in the same boat.
