This is a thread for all Lord Fairfax Community College hopefuls for the 2020 application cycle.

For those that have submitted your application already, did you get a confirmation email that everything was satisfactory? I submitted my app, but stated I was going to take the HESI again next week so they said they were going to hold my application until then. I sent an email a couple of days ago stating I decided not to retest, but haven't heard anything since. Good luck to everyone!
They’ve been very responsive to me, so I would call to confirm. You’ll get an answer faster that way, I think.
I just found out today that they don’t, in fact, have my previous college transcripts on file, so I’m freaking out trying to get that sent out ASAP.
I guess whomever I Spoke to on the phone was only looking at my general admissions, and not my application. They told me everything was in. I’m so worried now!!

Oh no, hopefully they can get that squared away for you. Who did you call?

Same here!! I think my CT was Right on.
my A&P was a 96, so that definitely helped even out my lower CT score.

This was a few weeks ago, but I called the main line, and asked them to send me to the right department. They honestly might have just sent me to admissions, without realizing that’s not who I needed.
either way, it’s making me nervous. The school they need it from is out of state, and I haven’t attended there in a few years. I have to call their help desk to get my log in info, and I’m traveling this weekend for a wedding!!
Nursing is Already stressing me out, and I’m not even in yet ?

Fantastic! That'll definitely help even it out. I did pretty good in Math so I'm happy about that score. The only other score that I didn't do my best in was the reading portion. But I still exceeded the scores listed above. And then of course the 15pts granted for being within the service region!

Yeeeesss I’m loving that service region!!!
im surprised the CT score was so heavily weighted. Mainly because all the CT questions required quite a bit of knowledge, even if you do know how to prioritize cases!

Applications close March 1, so we don’t know yet! But hopefully we will know within the next 4-6 weeks!
Hi guys! I just applied to the school today! I have a 3.0 gpa and 92% in the HESI exam: 90% reading, 96% anatomy, and 90% in math. I also got 980 on critical thinking. I really hope to get in. I don’t live around the area, I’m from Richmond so I won’t receive the 15points. Am I competitive?

Hey there! I would say those scores are sufficient to get into the program. Those scores would award you 90 points even without being in the service region which is still great. It still will really depend on the applications and the amount of people that apply this admission cycle. Hopefully we will hear soon!

I would definitely say those scores are competitive. You’d be granted 90 points. That’s definitely a higher amount of points that I’ve seen/heard of so far.

I actually submitted two applications. The first one didn't submit correctly, it made me attach everything in a bunch of different emails. I never heard a response back from that one. So I went on and applied again and attached everything properly and then I received a confirmation email. I would say wait and see if you get a response. If not, do it over again. Good luck!
