This is a thread for all Lord Fairfax Community College hopefuls for the 2020 application cycle.
RN or LPN, I want to hear from you guys!!

What are your hopes, fears, concerns, etc!

This is what makes me irritated about the whole process the school didn't official close down until March 20. Last year the applicants received their letters on March 19. It really makes you wonder why it is taking them longer. I understand they have current nursing programs that they had to completely switch around because of the virus but the communication of what is going on and when to expect an answer to current applicants would be nice.

I'm really not sure what is taking so long! I know that most of them are working remotely, but aside from that I have no idea. I'm currently enrolled in Spring courses and they both finish roughly 5/11, which was the original date, so I don't feel like that would cause a delay.

She said between this week and the first week of May. So we should at least have them by the end of next week, hopefully sooner. She just said that's what she had heard from the nursing department.

I’m guessing they may send them out by Friday and we won’t get it until May 5th or so.

The letters go out by email so as soon as they send them out we should receive them.

Oh I forgot about that. I’m guessing they’re probably working on how classes will be for fall 2020? Or communicating with people about clinicals? I wonder why is taking them so long.

More than likely! Summer courses are online. Fall semester could change, but we're able to enroll now. I was hoping we'd find out today, but it looks like I was being too optimistic.

Unfortunately, we aren’t a priority for them right now. Their main concern is the current classes and figuring out how everything will play out in the coming months. The people that review the applications also have other jobs within the campus that they need to do; many of them have been pulled to help with current students.
I know it’s frustrating, and it feels like they don’t care, but they still need to re-evaluate basically their entire structure as a campus and business.

I just got word that the letters are ready to go out and we will most likely be emailed in early May.
