Does anyone know of an online site where I can purchase a good level for leveling transducers? Thanks.

Hey Nu

I can't believe there's none available on the unit!!! Didja look in the other rooms, etc. (People who don't put tools back where they belong--priceless.)

If you just HAD to buy a level, try HomeDepot. There's no diff between the ones used in the hosp and the ones carpenters use. If you just HAVE to carry it around in a back-pack, get a small one and when you use it, tape it to a longer pole or rod (for example--one of the 'short' IV poles that fit on a bed--there's always lots of them around.)

Papaw John

Thanks papaw John. They do keep levels on the unit; I just find them to be too big and bulky. I have seen other nurses with smaller, retractable levels that can be kept in your pocket. I just don't know where I can buy them at. I guess I should just ask, huh. :imbar

Does anyone know where to purchase those retractable pocket levels? They are like a car antenna with a level on the end. I've seen a nurse or two with them, but I believe they got them from drug reps.

Contact your supplier for transducers and transducer holders. They will give them to you for free if you ask them.

NU570,

I don't know if you are still searching for your leveling device, but if you are, here goes: Nancy Townsend, owner of Nursing Knowledge (critical care courses, etc.) formerly located in Metairie, LA has a product called Levalign. This is the portable, can put it in your pocket level you are referring to. $25 plus shipping on her website. Hope this helps!

Hey, I got this idea off of Allnurses.com and it works great. I purchased a laser pointer. It's small, light, easily carried in my pocket. Just another idea.
