  1. Thanks for the replies. Has anyone taken the Kaplan or Princeton Review classroom course? Is it worth the money?
  2. I am planning on taking the GRE sometime before October 2006. What is the best way to prepare for the exam? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks papaw John. They do keep levels on the unit; I just find them to be too big and bulky. I have seen other nurses with smaller, retractable levels that can be kept in your pocket. I just don't know where I can buy them at. I guess I should just ask, huh. :imbar

Does anyone know of an online site where I can purchase a good level for leveling transducers? Thanks.

Can anyone explain to me the pathological relationship between atelectasis and pneumonia? I understand the concepts of atelectasis and pneumonia, but I do not fully understand how atelectasis leads to pneumonia. If the patho is too lengthy, reference to a good website would be helpful. Thanks. Student Nurse
  7. Thanks for responding. I understand the relationship b/t stagnant mucus and bacterial growth, but I thought that the pathogenesis of infection secondary to decreased aeration was different. Thanks for clearing this up.
  8. I was just curious to know how decreased aeration in the lungs can set the stage for infection. It seems as though I read about this every semester but never really understand the relationship between the two concepts. Thanks.
  9. The assignment is basically a teaching tool that involves play (i.e. blowing bubbles to promote deep breathing).
  10. I am required to devise a play therapy intervention to implement during my pediatriac clinical rotation. Unfortunately, this type of thing is not my forte. Can anyone suggest any ideas that do not require too much time? Thanks in advance.
