I am finishing up my BSN at the end of this year and I am trying to find a unit that I like and will also prepare me for a graduate education. I love NICU (i am a tech in a well baby nsy and have some experience in the NICU) but want to know if this is adequate to get into CRNA school. Anybody got any advice on this?

i wonder the same thing...i have worked in NICU since i graduated, but recently transferred to MSICU because i want to gain more broad icu experience and have been told by several that will make me more attractive candidate...i dunno if it is true because have not officially applied yet, but am in the process....i think it is good enough because there are people that have been accepted with NICU experience because they look at other things (gpa,gre,etc...)....so good luck and hope you pursue your passion!
Thanks, you too. I'm sure NICU isn't the best route, but I figure I should do something I really enjoy in the meantime...i would be miserable on an adult ICU unit

I would say as your best shot adult ICU is what you need. Most schools as there criteria don't mention NICU or PICU. I am sure that some will take you with that experience but if you had a year in NICU and one in ICU that would look a lot more impressive (I would think).
