  1. just out of curiosity....i know how competitive it is to get into crna school... im just wondering, do most people that get accepted finish the program or is there a lot of weeding out of people? is it common for people to drop out once they are in or is it rare? just wondering if anyone has any input.. thanks!
  2. i wonder the same thing...i have worked in NICU since i graduated, but recently transferred to MSICU because i want to gain more broad icu experience and have been told by several that will make me more attractive candidate...i dunno if it is true because have not officially applied yet, but am in the process....i think it is good enough because there are people that have been accepted with NICU experience because they look at other things (gpa,gre,etc...)....so good luck and hope you pursue your passion!
  3. well have u heard anything good about the michigan programs because i dont know anything about them...i dunno i wonder why some schools dont have the gre requirement....makes it easier for me but maybe they weigh the other requirements highly....
  4. i dont mean to ask dumb question, but did u get accepted for this coming fall 2007 or for fall 2008? i am thinking to apply for the next fall (2008), but it sounds like i am running late or no?
  5. dont take this the wrong way, but studying more in 4 months than you did in your 4 years of undergrad? How are you enjoying this?? Im just wndering because I like your honest comment, but it makes me nervous..Im not sure if I want to go for it.....
  6. I was looking at different school admission requirements, and I found some schools do not require GRE and some will waive GRE if gpa is high enough...Anyone know is there anything wrong with these programs? Are they just as good? Is there a catch? I am currently overseas just for an assignment, so I cannot even take GRE over here, so I am highly considering these programs..... Any input anyone?
  7. thanks for the reply and encouragement! appreciate it!
  8. For those that go or have gone to University of Buffalo, is it true you do not need GRE if your gpa greater than 3.0? Also, how is the program? Do u recommend it? Any pointers that may help me get a possible interview? thanks!
  9. is the program at barnes jewish good? anyone know?
  10. thanks to all for the honest answers....and good suggestions...
  11. Anyone that has experience, do you recommend Georgetown CRNA program?
  12. Can you tell me about any programs you know that will offer a possible GRE waiver if gpa is high enough? Thanks
  13. Hello, anyone know if it is true that many nurses lose their license after becoming crna? I know it is very stressful field and can be risky, but I dont know about the part of losing license! ?
  14. I'm wondering if any crnas or srnas can give me a little insight. I am currently working in NICU and MSICU, but I do not have good IV SKILLS. Usually the patients have Central lines and I do not have much experience. Will I have a hard time if I entered CRNA program, or would you say that in the program, they will fully train me and enhance my confidence? Any suggestions??
