Letters of Acceptance to Golden West College?

Hi there...anyone receive their letters to take the TEAS V for Golden West College for Fall 2011? Thought I would start a thread for those of us who did and may have questions for each other.

Does anyone know how you will be contacted if you are an alternate? By email? Phone? Carrier Pigeon? I don't want to miss out because I missed a phone call...That would be sooo wrong

I think they call but I'm not 100% sure

They call you. But I think they give you like 24 hours to call back before they give up your spot.

Hi everyone!

I am new to the site. Ive check this site out before but never thought to really join it. But I have now since it seems to be a very informative and supportive site for students and nurses in general!

And I've been reading all the comments on GoldenWest and what nursing school will be like since I did apply and I got a letter for conditional acceptance for Fall 2012!!!

I am super excited yet super scared at the same time! (hopefully everyone else feels the same way I do! )

Congrats to everyone that has gotten their acceptance!

And be hopeful for those who are alternates!

And keep trying and don't give up to those who did not get in!!

This is my second time around applying and thankfully I got in! So it is possible guys!

I'm an incoming freshman at GWC who is interest in nursing..

I'm graduating this year...

I applied for Fall 2012 and put major as nursing (which I feel like it's the biggest mistake ever)

Sigh. Is this a mistake?

I don't remember filling out my app for GWC but I don't think it makes a difference putting that down as your major. There are 4 pre-reqs that you have to take before you can even apply to the nursing program. I graduated high school in '09 and it took me about a year and a half to finish my pre-reqs. After you finish your courses and apply you may not get in the first time (like me). So I started at GWC the summer of '09 and I will be starting the nursing program spring '12. You will not get accepted into the nursing program right when you get accepted to the college. I really don't think it matters what you put down as your major.

i havent known this site till now. i got accepted for fall 2012. i feel so lucky because this is my 1st time applied and got accepted. now teas test time :)

If you are moved from the waitlist to conditionally accepted, you will receive an email. I was guaranteed admission for spring 2013 and waitlisted for fall 2012, but yesterday I rec'd an email stating that I had been moved up to conditionally accepted for fall 2012. I had to give them an answer by May 18... I accepted of course! =)

Give 5 congrats!!!! you are so lucky!!! I am an alternate right now and am hoping to get in!! i got an email confirming that i had taken the teas already! congrats to you and i hope to be hearing something soon as well!
