Letter Carrier or R.N?

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hi all, Today I just received a letter from the U.S Postal Service to go for an interview next week. Currently I'am a pre-nursing student and had plans to make it into the L.P.N program and work and the in the future go back for my R.N. I really want to become a nurse but the I really need to make money for my family because my husband is the only one making an income for us. I feel like this is a one in a lifetime opportunity for me and dont want to regreted later if i decide not to take this job. I just wanted to know what you guys think I should do any advice would surely be appreciated. I'm sooo undecided :uhoh21:

If you didn't like the way you were treated at the interview then you would not like how you would be treated as an employee because it is just like that.

We were allowed 5 minutes an hour for break and could not talk whatsoever inside the room we worked at but the supervisors could laugh and talk and have personal conversations.

They always did horrible things to employees. After working for the post office a short while one comes to understand the rep with the disgruntled employees.

Medicine is not something we do because it pays good. We do this Job because sick an injured people need us.

We may question "why" we put up with the trials and tribulations of our field. But we never lose site of the ultimate reason why we are here...it has nothing to do with cash.[/quote

I'll have to respectfully disagree with you. Nursing allows us to help others AND EARN a good living. There is no way I would be doing this job for minimum wage or just out of the goodness of my heart.

Nursing is a difficult job and we deserves to be compensated as such.
