Letter from BON

Nurses Recovery

When my letter comes from the BON telling me when I need to appear in front of them...will it be a single letter, a packet, something I need to sign for? I have been checking the mail like a fool over the past 4 months. I received many letters from the attorney general about the complaint that was filed, on even said Indiana Professional Licensing Agency on it. But it was just a complaint they wanted investigated. Since that's been completed, (Im in process of dealing with criminal aspect) I haven't gotten anything. Im PARANOID (everyone on this forum can relate im sure) that I am going to miss the letter even though I check everyday. (not sunday ;) dur!) Also what have your experiences been with criminal cases and the board...do they wait until case has been resolved before they will see you?

When I was instructed to go in front of the board, I received a call and voicemail from the attorney general, an email from the attorney general and a 2 page letter ( I did not need to sign for) from the attorney general. They really want to make sure you know! lol

How long after the investigation was complete were you contacted? Ive been in IPRP since October...could this be why there is a delay. Im so confused bc i got many letters from attorney general but none telling me to appear in front of board @Indiana RN

About 5 weeks. this was 15 months ago so maybe things are backed up.

Its been right around that time so its either about to come or things are backed up. Either way I am content with any amount of more time in the program that I can rack up before going in front of them.

@Indiana RN I believe you had told me before that you had a 90 day suspension and just had to do monitoring right? have you been able to find work yet?

yes, I'm currently working at a nursing home. Not ideal and I miss the hospital but the pay is decent and the people I work with are nice. ( I also had a 6 month narc key restriction)
