Hey all!
Has anyone applied for the Nurse Residency position for June 2015? If so, have you had any updates to your application?

I applied for the Feb/March 2015 New Grad on last Sunday. Heard back from them the following Monday. They responded real quick!
That's great news! I have a scheduled group interview in April, not really sure what to expect! When is yours?

Hi Nurse_2015,
I applied about a week ago for the July/August 2015 Nurse Residency. Is that the same one you applied to? The next day I got an email asking to complete a survey if I hadn't and informing me that I should expect to get an email invitation to an interview. Since that email I have not heard anything... Nor have I had any updates to my application.
Is this the way it went for others as well?
For me at least, after I did the survey and was asked to send in the documents they sent an email to fill out the group interview time. But I applied for the May/June graduate not July/ August. You should contact them and see!! they always reply!

I applied and will be doing the group interview in April as well. Does anyone know someone that has gone through the interview process an can give us some insight? I am only interested in working in the NICU and if they will not be hiring for that unit then I really don't want to waste the money to fly there from Louisiana.

I would ask them about NICU before even wasting your time with the first flight. I went in looking for pediatrics or NICU last summer. I also would have liked ICU or even med surg if they other two were not available. But during the group interview they will go around a table asking behavioral questions and then they will ask you what units you PREFER. Then if your preference meets any of the openings they will set you up with a second interview with the unit manager. I told them I preferred pediatrics or NICU, they then told me there were no positions left for those. They then asked me to stay after to find a better fit for me. They offered me an ICU position but then said that since I did not pick ICU initially I did not deserve the position because I might not like it overall. Honestly, I'm still a little salty towards them because that was the second interview that they made promises to me that they did not keep. There should be someone though that you can ask if there are any NICU positions before you waste your flight.
Thank you, Kayseadeecee! I will contact them first.
What kind of behavioral questions did they ask if you don't mind me asking?
I spoke to someone in HR today and was informed that all the NICU positions were filled with internal candidates so I withdrew my application. Good luck to everyone!
