based upon employers policies along with state board of nursing regs, they are only ones who can accurately answer this question. having a temporary practice permit must follow laws within your state in order to get license that includes no active narcotic/psych drug use unless under physician orders.

Any and all input will be appreciated. To put this question in a nutshell, I am a GN wondering whether or not a failed preemployment drug test is reportable to the BON, & if so, is this grounds for revocation of my TPP. I have never practiced under my TPP, ergo I would think that this wouldn't fall under the impaired nurse law.
Thank you for your input.
