I am interested but wary of becoming a Legal Nurse Consultant. I was wondering if anyone out there has become a LNC themselves and if so what kind of success have they had? I am a Labor and Delivery RN and have been for 12 years. I thought that becoming a LNC would be an interesting job opportunity but I have never met any one who has chosen this career path. I get items from Vickie Malazo all the time. Please let me know if this is a legitimate profession and worth persuing. Thanks for your time to read this and hopefully reply!

Hello, Angbird
I moved your thread to the Legal Nursing forum for a better response.
Good to read of your interest in the LNC career.
Check out these threads:
The Role of the Legal Nurse Consultant
AALNC and Milazzo Legal Nurse Consulting Programs (just two of many educative programs)
The career is legitimate, but I will not lie to you, it is not "easy". It is a lot of hard work to be successful. Many enter into this career only to be disappointed they are not instantly successful and rich. It doesn't work like that. I always advise the RN to examine his/her true reasons to consider this career.
If after you have read through these threads, you have other specific questions, please post here or contact me via private message.
Good luck with your decisions.
Thank you so much! I will take your advice and check out the sites you suggested. I will get back to I'm sure with some questions!
Good deal, Angbird.
Also, I wanted to welcome you to allnurses.com!!!!!
Look forward to seeing more of your posts.
