Has anyone had their license suspended or revoked after hiring a good attorney? I am still in the beginning of my legal battles but my lawyer has already spoken with the attorney general who indicated that charges would be filed for narc diversion. I'm not sure if my lawyer is more so about the $$ or if he's holding out hope that he can get this charge dropped to a misdemeanor. I wasn't actually found to have narcotics on me that day I got fired but I did voluntarily submit to a urine test which I'm pretty sure came back positive from an expired script I had. Nonetheless, my attorney is requesting $10k for retention for legal charges as well as dealing with BON discipline. Just wanted to see if anyone had any similar stories or scenarios.

The attorney general wants to file criminal charges on you? I would worry about that first, and yes definitely use a lawyer.
The BON likely wants to see what happens with that first. My license got suspended for 12 months for admitted diversion. Also depends heavily on the state.
