I'll be taking this class starting 7/1/13. I was reviewing old forums and saw that we'll be required to watch a movie. Does anyone know which movies are on the list? It seems like there are two different lists. Just trying to get a head start on my week off.

I start July 1st too. I would like to know if books are required too. I am tired of buying books and having no need for them.
Just rented mine off of cheggs family nursing by Friedman 5 edition
All of the required textbooks for the nursing courses can be found on the UTA Academic Partnerships website.
I have rented all of my books from Campus Book Rentals. You can set the date that you want to return it so you don't pay for extra time and shipping is free. Also, when they send it to you they include a package for you to send it back in when you're done...it's very convenient!

Thanks NICUrn718, I just ordered my books from Campus Book rentals. Seems like a good deal. I hope this class is not too time consuming, but here goes nothing.

I am just curious for when I take this course later on for those who have read the syllabus, is it going to be a lot of writing papers or busy work such as quizzes, discussions and daily assignments? How is the course set up? What movie do you have to watch for this class?
Is anyone else freaking out about his movie anlaysis, I am so confused!

The movie analysis is very straight forward. I took this course a few months ago so feel free to PM me if you have any questions. The course is primarily centered around 3 papers.
The movie analysis seems like I could enter a ton of information! Did you just hit the basics in each section? How detailed of a geno and eco map did they want? It all seems so vague to me.
I believe for the genogram they wanted you to go back at least 2 generations. For the ecomap I just included the immediate family in the circle and I had about 9 items on the outside circles. You can't get too detailed because it is a five page maximum not including the title page, referrences or the ecomap and genogram.
