Just want to give the class it's own forum for 2/25/13 start date. I hope the class goes smooth!!
I just have to say I hate the discussion questions in this class. Trying to find an example of something I have seen in relation to what ever the topic may be is driving me crazy. I find myself in the middle of typing something and can't even remember what I am supposed to be writing about. I would much rather find some article to talk about than a personal experience, and having to do three responses to each one is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like writing about an example, it involves less reading. If you can't think of an example, just make it up. I get my best grades on made-up stuff, teachers love it! Really, what else are we suppose to do. I haven't had half the experices they expect us to write about. I have only been writing one reply per discussion cuz I'm not trying to get an 'A'. I dislike the whole discussion concept in these classes though.
It is just so time consuming and if you read the rubric it says more than 3 responses to get full credit so that is at least 4 per topic. I agree, I never really learn anything from the discussion topics and it is just basically finding a new way to say the same thing that every one else has said ten times already. I just finished the cultural analysis paper and now we have another six page one to write next week. I also have a six page paper to write in my care of the older adult class!

I just read the rubric and it's the same for each discussion. I say that because I only replied to 3 peers on each post with the last one and still got full credit. The rubric say more than three but it says at least three on the posts.![]()

Like I said, some of the questions were interpretive and hard to gauge. I am curious to see what the correct answers were once the time to take it passes.
