Lee Memorial vs. NCH Ft.Myers/Naples

Hi everyone,

im a new RN from Ft. Lauderdale and was planing to move to Ft. Myers. I was reading about the Residency Program that Lee had...no bonus/ 2 year contract and i think it was a 6 week program. I heard not so good things about that hospital but love the ft. myers atmosphere. People who work there or had work there what is it like in those hospitals? Is it worth it? How is the pay and the nurse to pt. ratio? And how about naples?

I went to nursing school at NCH campus, and currently work at Lee Memorial. The nurses working at NCH call it "No Communication Here". My opinion - Lee Memorial wins hands down

Thanks for responding. How is the pay and staff there in lee memorial? Have you heard anything about the residency program? have you heard about a hospital called leighigh medical? I just want to make sure that im making the right choice in choosing a hospital on that side of town.

Lehigh Regional is very small, and have not had good experience with it, except for the ICU. When I have floated to other units, they have all been very helpful. I can't help with the residency program, unfortunately. Good luck in your search.
