I was born and raised in California, but moved out of state 3 years ago due to the LVN pay rates that did not adequately cover the cost of living there. In addition, California tends to be one of the more difficult states regarding bridging to the RN program.
The competition for jobs is fierce in places such as the San Francisco Bay area, Sacramento, Orange County, etc. If you could narrow your search down to a specific part of the state, it would be helpful. California is a huge state.
im from upland,ca ( 909) but i want to leave and go to other states

i'm from california and we have the best starting pay in my opinion especially if you work in the prison system or even going through a registry first...but my cousin goes to school in las vegas and from what he's telling me it is very well organized...you learn alot and clinicial are in good areas he's been in er, icu, neonatal, ob anything you could imagine so if your going that way i would suggest going to that school i believe its called apollo...:heartbeat

Once you finish school and pass the NCLEX-PN (the national licensing exam) in California, you can move to any state and have your licensed endorsed. Meaning you apply for licensure in whichever state you are moving to, then they endorse your CA license and have you pay their fees. You do not need to take another exam. It is usually a very simple process.
