Hi everyone,
well im in a rut and not sure if anyone has gone through this as well that could reach out...I'm currently in a top accelerated bsn program. I've failed a class (barely since passing is a 75 not 70) so I'm currently retaking that class and two classes that are part of the second semester curriculum. I'm currently passing and have an A in the class I failed last semester but I'm failing the other two classes. I failing one with a 64 and have 2 tests, a hesi, a critique and one quiz left. The other class I'm failing with a 68 and have one test and an assessment paper due. If I fail another class, im kicked out of the program which is terrifying since I'm failing right now. I've been considering applying to an Adn program and transferring after this semester. I'm much younger and don't feel like I'm mentally prepared for an accelerated bsn program. I've been put on anxiety medicine due to school. Any advice?? Should I keep going in my bsn program or transfer to an Adn program then do an online bridge? Pep talk? Anyone went through this and succeeded? I just have no one that is in the same exact situation so I feel lost and have no insight of what to do. Please and thank you!

A "pep talk" isn't what you need. You need to stop the bleeding. You are saying you cannot do it. I am not assuming this or being negative..you said it. Ok..that is fine. Stop spending money on tuition for failing grades. It is ok....many people cannot handle 21 hours a semester. Going to an ADN or traditional BSN program may be better.

You already made your choice. Stop wasting money and go to a traditional ASN or BSN program. It will be difficult to gain entry in another program if you fail out of your accelerated program. ABSN programs are intense and fast paced. Not everyone can handle the increased workload and pace. Accept this isn't right for you and move ob

I'd say start exploring your other options but keep trying to get your grades up while you're doing it. I failed an absn this past May, my story could seriously be yours. (Like down to the small details!) Don't beat yourself up over it, absn programs are not for everyone. I failed and was accepted to an ADN program beginning this January. It's okay to admit things aren't working, make sure you know that it isn't a bad thing. If you have the determination and drive, you will get there.
Thank you so much!! Im realizing that it doesn't matter what path you take as long as you get there. Good luck on your journey!!
