Hello,
I'm new to Lawson State and I'm in great need of some answers. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge with this program? I'm in the process of ordering uniforms for the semester and I'm curious about how many sets are needed. What supplies from the schools selected uniform site are needed? Also, any advice to successfully complete the program is absolutely appreciated.
Thanks!

This will be my second go around at nursing school. I previously went through a PN program, so i can give you a few tips. I also will be attending lawson dor the LPN program. I ordered my uniforms back in July and I received mine about 2 weeks ago. (very fast). I only ordered one set...Reason being, we only have clinicals one day a week... at least that's how it is first term. I ordered one top, one bottom, the lab coat, and the name pin. As far as supplies, you will need a stethesope, pen light, bp cuff, and scissors for sure. You do not have to order these from the uniform site, it is just more convienient. You can probably find these items cheaper online actually.
Thanks for replying dwade294. I received my uniforms today. I ordered two sets. My next question is, do I need to order the lab coat from Meridys? I noticed my tips have a space for school tags.
Sure! Yes the lab coat come with the lawson state patch attached to it, it isn't just generic. I don't understand what you mean by the tips?
Ok. Guess I'll log on and order lab coat today. I meant to say tops.
gotcha! yes the tops are very nice. I really like the little loop, much easier than just clipping to the scrubs

Hi All,
I am a Lawson student and been trying to find something on where the clinicals are located but unable to find anything. You don't have to tell the names of the clinical sites since I don't know if it is allowed or not but I was wondering are they outside of Birmingham or around the Birmingham area? I attend the Birmingham Campus. Thank You!!
All of your clinicals will be in the Birmingham area!
Okay thank you! Just wanted to be aware for when I do get in so I don't be surprised lol. The Bessemer campus is a little far way from me

What's the average number of points needed?
I'm applying for rn day summer
I think the Summer deadline has passed already if I am correct. I wish I could know which points are good for the program. I hope 150-160 points are good for the lpn program. I hope to get a 180 points for RN when I take my teas test
