Lawson State fall Hopefuls 2015

I applied to Lawson's evening RN progam. Any others out there that applied for Fall 2015? Does anyone have an estimated guess what the cut off points will be? Perhaps we can east a little anxiety by talking to others in the same boat lol

Does anyone know Lawson's policy on retaking prereq's I currently don't go there but I was wondering if I retake classes at another college how will they look at those classes when I apply for the nursing program. Like will they be averaged together or what? Thanks!

Hey to answer your question on retaking classes....They way the system works is by a point system. For every A you get 30pts, B is 20 pts and C is 10 pts. So if you retake a class within 5 years of originally taking it you will receive half the points. Example: If you took Anatomy and made a C the first time and you retake it and you make an A you only get 15pts instead of 30, B=10 pts instead of 20 and C=5pts instead of 10. Hope this helps

I do know some people that have applied without microbiology. If you have a high enough TEAS score it can be done

I was accepted for the fall and I haven't taken Micro yet. One of my biggest concerns is taking a relatively intense class amongst a bunch of challenging nursing courses. I am also trying to determine if I need to take it now or wait closer to the third semester of the program.

How is everything going with your first semester? I which campus did you accept? I plan on apply this coming up year and haven't heard much information about this school nursing programs
