Hi All,

Just got an email to come in for an interview. Any LMHRC students or graduates out there that can tell me what to expect during the interview and what questions they may ask? Thanks!

Only 6 or 7? Really? I don't have any of my sciences done, and after my 2 summer courses the only ones I'll need to do on that list are Statistics, Micro & A&P (Assuming English comp is a the same as EN101 & EN102) .. Chemistry isn't on there? I'm assuming I'd have to take Bio before I can take microbiology. I wanted to try to take my sciences at my school now, or atleast a few, because otherwise I'd be applying with just my Englishes, Sociology, Human growth & development, Philosophy Ethics & the other courses I've completed for my psych degree. Wouldn't it be almost pointless to apply into a nursing program without any science courses so they can see how I did in them?

You have to have high school or college lvl chemistry ,biology and algebra with a grade of C or better those are a must to be able to even apply in addition to the other classes I quoted on previous post that are actually part of nursing curriculum to get your RN degree from Lawrence

memorial. I took high school lvl chem, biology and algebra at my local community college because I did not have those from high school. I then took my A&Ps and micro. I took sciences after my other classes because the sciences have a shelf life. the sciences will only be good for so long before you will be required to repeat them. Regis accepts them for 4yrs and your human growth for 7yrs. Also unless your community college requires it you do not have to take biology on-top of A&P. Your A&P will satisfy the biology requirement for applying at Regis and most other nursing programs.

It is fine if you take your sciences at your current school but like I said you will have to pick and choose what classes you have taken prior to going to Regis as to which ones you will want to repeat. To get your degree from there you are required to take a certain amount of classes at their school. For instance I would pick to bring into the program A&P I & II , microbiology, human growth, ethics, right there is 5 classes. It is up to you if you want to take statistics at current college or wait until u get into Regis. Obviously if u need it for your current degree than take it before. Sociology used to be offered at their Medford campus but not sure if it still the case but all other non nursing courses are taken at their Weston campus. I recommend taking your sciences at community college and maybe repeating an eng and sociology at Regis. Get harder stuff out of the way. I'm sure if you continued on with your bachelors then you would be able to roll more of your psych degree courses into that degree.
