I-140 for Schedule A is still at October 2006....it's a long, long wait!

What route are you doing? AOS or CP? Nebraska averages 8-14 months for the I-140 processing. We have our own tracker thread for NSC here as the dates there aren't real-time, although they have been more accurate lately because they are now actively trying to make it as real-time as possible but still you can't beat actual persons reporting that they have received approvals from their I-140s.

hi lawrence01, i read in another forum that the service centers usually forward other applications to field offices. and that this monthly update for processing time does not include the progress of the field offices. i was wondering if this is true?

i was thinking that this might be possible since in the last few weeks there were dicrepancies between the monthly processing updates and the weekly update for the reciepting delay. the reciepting updates had more recent dates.

i will try to look for the source and post it here. thanks for your inputs in advance!

i dont think so they have reason to make it faster since there are lot of nurses under schdule A aproved previosly and they know that retrogression is current. so they rather work on other papers first.

vermont is the longest now , theyr processing april 2006 so up to now its not moving so i guess there working in other papers which is current.

yes, they did. they ended the bi-specialization just recently, so some got forwarded or transffered to vt. hopefully, this will help in minimizing the delays but as deve23 said, it's not really helping as of now. just go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp and just go to each service center and you will see that vt sc is also now handling i-140s and i-485s. so, now there are 3 of them.

Hi, I was actualy referring to field offices and/or district offices.

This is what i read:

Q4. Why are I-485 processing times for Service Centers different than processing times for district offices?

A4. Service Centers processing times are specific for the centers only. District offices have their separate processing times. All employment based 485's are filed in Service Centers. For these cases you have to look to Service Center times only. Some cases then get referred to local offices. For these employment based cases you will need to look to district office times.

Of course regardless of the processing times it will still be affected by retrogression. I just wana clarify the processing dates. Thanks.
