I have developed insomnia due to the anticipation and realization that nursing...the real thing not in the classroom, the career kind will shortly follow. HAng in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try reading inspirational stories from NURSES ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS...THIS HELPS ME!!! It helps remeber why we want to be nurses and is motivating to move forward and keep trying. Know you are not alone!!!!

Hi Dazlious69,
Yes, I actually got a job at the hospital that I did clinicals at in med/surg. This is not what I want to do but plan on doing it for 1 year just to get the experience. I will then switch to either ER or L&D for my career. best of Luck to you keep plugging away you CAN DO IT. remember just keep thinking FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION and do a count down that helped me too. Each day I knew I was closer and closer.

I know how you feel....I in the last 2 months of an accelerated BSN program and I have been a mess since school started 3 days ago. I haven't been able to sleep, I locked my keys in my car, and I failed the final med calculation quiz on the 1st day of school.(but I passed it yesterday). I have Synthesis, Community Nursing, and Leadership this semester. I will take the comprehensive ATI exam in October that you have to pass in order to sit for the boards, and honestly I feel like I don't have a grasp on anything and I have no idea how I am supposed to pass it when I have only passed one ATI exam with the required score. I really have done surprisingly well and I don't know why I can't be proud of what I accomplished already and just relax and stay focused..So I don't have any advice for you, however, I will keep you in my prayers and I wish you all the luck in the world.
