LaSalle Achieve Fall 2013

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

For years, I was reluctant to apply to LaSalle while finishing my pre-reqs at CCP. I guess I was intimidated, countless people told me to apply...but I put it off, fearing rejection. May 2012, I finally applied...studied for the NLN on-and-off the entire summer...received a high overall score on the entrance exam over 100... Sci. GPA of 3.25, Overall: 3.13. Received my "Congratulations/favorable consideration letter" from LaSalle in Sept (2012) and have been living vicariously through current students in the program now.

I have signed up for the last of my required pre-reqs at LaSalle so I can get a "feel" of their grading style and going to a large university. I know the official nursing acceptance letters won't go out until May 2013, and I shouldn't get my hopes up ...but I've worked so hard (and will continue to!) and hope that things will continue to work out favorably.

Has anyone else received their "Congratulations/favorable consideration letter"? Does that letter mean, if we continue on doing well and meet the required deadlines...that it "should" work out in our favor? Oh the anxiety...well I'll be practicing my conversions and studying.

Take away message: Don't get in your own way...and everything and anything is possible if you give it your all!

You did pretty good I think you need a overall score of 100 and a 50 percentile in all sections. So you may have to take it over. You are pretty close, I think you should talk to an advisor. I have to take it over in JulyMy overall score was a 88 Math was 38% Verbal was 30%Science was 43%I have along six months to study I didn't do so well probably because I only crammed everything

I only studied for 2 weeks. I need to brush up on my math and science. As well as verbal. I'm glad I applied to 2 other nursing schools. I hope I pass the second time.

*In order to qualify for the ACHIEVE Nursing Program, you will need to be at least in the 50th percentile *or higher for each section (Math, Verbal, and Science) in the Percentile Rank column. Also, there is an overall score that is computed. *This score can be found at the top of the page. *You will need an overall score of around 100 in order to qualify for the ACHIEVE program. *Meeting all four of these scores will give you the best chance of being admitted into our program.

I applied to gwynedd-mercy weekend just waiting for an response and I have an interview on Monday at Harcum so if I get accepted to either school will be great.

when did you apply to GMC and Harcum..

I applied to both schools in November too when I applied to Lasalle as well. Harcum is 18months and my job will pay for my BSN which will probably be a yr. I'm doing my RN to BSN over here in New Jersey where I from.

I still believe I can still make it to lasalle

Oh ok Go for it

I refuse to take that test over.
