Me too! The past year and a half I only took 2 core classes each quarter and did not rush through. Now I'm ready for LPN program. Everyone at Lanier Tech has been so friendly - students and staff. Forsyth campus is great!

I am planning on beginning my pre-requisite courses for nursing at Lanier Tech for Summer 2011. I work full time and Lanier Tech and Brenau are the only schools I found that offer part time nursing programs. Both Lanier Tech at Oakwood and Brenau in Gainesville will be far for me, but I don't think that Lanier Tech has the part time nursing program at Forsyth yet. I am a little confused about where to go as I don't think Lanier has a bachelors program do they? However I think Brenau may be too expensive as they are private. I will be taking as many courses as I can online, unless evening and weekend classes are available around my work schedule. It doesn't look like any are offered.
Once you have taken the NLN and been accepted into the Lanier Tech practical nursing program your schedule will be set for you. Only the pre-requisite courses may be taken on a part-time basis; some are online. Lanier is a 2 year school.

I am currently in the "Spring 2011" Lpn program at Lanier tech. My NLN score was 99, GPA 4.0. I don't think anyone in our class made below a 96 on the NLN, but it all depends on what everyone scores at the time you take the test. They pick the 20 highest scores of those who apply.

The program at Lanier Tech is an LPN program. You will not be prepared to sit for the RN NCLEX. You will not be an RN. The program at Brenau is an RN/BSN program. I would check, quickly, to make sure that the Lanier Tech courses will transfer to other schools. It would be a shame if your pre-reqs were worthless. If you're interested in becoming an RN, you need to look into ADN and BSN programs, not LPN.
Hope this helped.
edit: West Georgia also has a part-time BSN program. Other than Brenau, I'm not sure of other part-time RN programs.
I took my pre reqs at Lanier Tech (Anatomy, Algebra and English) and then transferred those classes without any issues to Gwinnett Tech's nursing program and I will be starting there in the Fall. Lanier Tech is just a LPN. Jobs are very limited for LPN's outside of nursing homes and tech work so if being an RN is what you want and you dont want to pay the cost of a private school or university, I would opt for Perimeter or Gwinnett Tech.

Oh good. When I went to talk to somebody there, one of the first things they said was that the classes may not transfer. Eek! But that was back around Spring of 2010 so maybe they've gotten their accreditation since that time.
To the OP, the RN-ADN programs in the atlanta and metro area are fantastic. One of my dear friends (got his ADN at Athens Tech, bridged to BSN, taught at Medical College of GA and won numerous nursing awards) says that some of the best new grads always come from ADN programs.
Try Georgia Perimeter College, Gwinnett Tech, North Georgia College, Athens Tech, Chattahoochee Tech, I'm sure I'm missing some.
Good luck!
