language tests for people overseas coming to U.S.

After CGFNS test. I know one has to pass the language test requirement. Is there one language test or are there many you have to take? I heard they just have to pass the TOEFL exam and others said they have to pass the IELTS. Can someone tell me the difference? What is/are the name/s of the test/s.?

My total score is 88. The Florida board of nursing only mentions the overall score to be 76. CGFNS says that you need 26 points on speaking part.

Just call Florida Board of Nursing to find out. Here in MD they're not accepting TOEFL anymore. I got a score of 105, but they are still requiring me to take the ILA OPI.
