Lancaster County Career and Technology Center?

Published

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone is or will be going to Lancaster Co. Career and Technology nursing school? If so let me know your experiances!

Hi! I am bumping this thread to see if anyone is currently in the program or recently graduated.

I am currently in the program, first level. So far it has just been class with the clinical experience starting in July. The instructors have been really helpful but it is a faced paced program so you really need to be dedicated to making time for your studies.

That's nice! Thanks for writing back. I hope the program is going well for you.

Anyone else?

I was recently just accepted into the program. I start the evening program in September. I am really excited to start. Bumping this, as I am curious if there is anyone else and how it is going.

A friend of our family is attending the evening program right now. She told me it's pretty intense sometimes but she loves it.

Bumping this up. Curious as to whether or not anyone else is starting this fall

Glad to hear you got in! I'm starting this month, but during the day program. Wish we were in there together! At least we can be in touch on here while we're going through it. :)

I was going to do the day program but it conflicts my schedule a bit. I just had a baby this past May and I would hate to have to put her in daycare, so the evening program really helps so my fiance will have her in the evenings while I'm in school. Let me know how things go. I wish we were both in the same one as well, but lets keep in touch and stuff throughout the program.

I take the Teas V exam in two weeks. How difficult was that? What should I really be concerned with?

I didn't find it too difficult. The science portion was the worst for me. I have only been out of school for 2 years and took math and english at a community college, so I didn't find it too terrible. Someone I have spoke with whos been out of school about 10 years, said she had trouble with it.

I would recommend getting a book to study from. ATI offers one that has all the subjects and practice tests and such. I used McGraw-Hill's Nursing Entrance Exams. It was a lot cheaper than ATI's and I found it to be just as affective.

Thanks I'm nervous I have actually been in HACC's pre- nursing program and have completed just about all my pre- requesites.. So I'm hoping that will give me an advantage.. as far as the knowledge I need for the exam and I also purchased the ATI- book.
