Hi everyone,

I have officially just applied to my first nursing school, Lakeview College of Nursing in Charleston, IL. I'm feeling decently confident about being accepted, but I'm pretty intimidated about nursing school. If anyone has any advice on what I can do to better prepare myself for it, or any wisdom at all about Lakeview I would much appreciate it! Also I would like to know if this particular school drug tests? I don't foresee it being an issue, however I think it would be best to at least be aware of things like that.

Yes, there is a drug test required after you have been accepted into the school, along with the required immunizations. And as for any advice, I would say keep your grades up in the prerequisite courses and enjoy all the free time you have now if/when you are accepted and begin nursing courses. Good luck to you!
