Any spring 2012 R.N candidates here? I believe acceptance/denial letters are being handed out next week or after.
Well I have my own method of studying and my secret weapon is stress. Yes, I know it sounds silly but I use stress as a stimulus to motivate me to get good grades. Kinda like sublimation defense mechanism, I always vent on my life situation and my classmates who annoys me because sometimes they are stealing the spotlight in the class. Since my impulses are unacceptable (that b¤¤ch! or I hope you get into a car accident and much more!) I convert this behavior into a more acceptable form like studying very hard to get a lot of A's.
Being good @multitasking helps a lot. I work in a warehouse in exit 40, Mineola > 4am-1pm from Monday-Friday.
I go to school > 5:45pm - 9:15pm (Chemistry-M,W,F; Child Psychology-T,Th,Speech-T,Th)
11am - 4pm Saturday (English101) and 9:00am-2:00pm Sunday (Statistics)
So basically I kept my mouth shut when I heard some students(specially mothers) griping about their difficult situation..blah blah this...and blah blah that...I still think that its hard to raise a kid or infant while doing your pre.reqs. Others complained how hard it is to wake up on weekends (fresh from HS).
So last December when i got to see my grades, which were all A's, it was the most wonderful gift I've ever had that Christmas.
So I'm asking you, is my situation any worse than yours? (i only sleep for 3-5 hours).

Just finished my orientation this afternoon and I must say that our batch is dominated by ASIANS..lol
My estimation is about 60% Asian, 25% White, 10% Hispanic and 5% Black. So basically i don't want to leave any comment!
The director of nursing told us to ignore the nay-sayers about our our school and just do your work!
"You know you. Just step it up and get it done!"
Spring 2012 cut-off gpa
4.0 scale = 3.80
12.0 scale = 11.36
Just a reminder that the previous semester (Fall 2011), the cut-off gpa
4.0 scale = 3.70
12.0 scale = 11.20
You see that the cut-off gpa was much higher than the previous one,
our batch is much more competitive. As I've posted before....our batch is mostly Asian like me! no pun...
20 students got 4.0
5 students got 3.95 - 3.99
10 students got 3.91 - 3.94
35 students got 3.80 - 3.90
