Lactation Counselor/Consultant training, Southern/Central California

Is anyone aware of lactation counselor or lactation consultant training in southern or central California other than UC San Diego? I am looking but am finding nothing. I thought I saw training in Torrance CA a few moths back but I can no longer find it on the internet =O(. I'm just looking for plain and simple Lactation Counselor or Lactation Consultant, not the other high-ranking stuff where you need a billion hours of training and all that stuff. Thanks alot in advance!!!!!

A lactation consultant is an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant); this is the credential that requires hundreds or thousands of hours of supervised clinical experience, education specific to lactation, and much more. It is considered the "gold standard" credential for lactation support. :)

If you're simply wanting to learn more so that you may better support mothers you work with, becoming a Certified Lactation Educator (CLE), Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), Certified Lactation Specialist, or Certified Breastfeeding Counselor (CBC) might be right for you. These are all certifications offered from different organizations, some of which offer distance learning (online classes).
