Lacc nursing fall 2017

Hello, i applied lacc nursing for fall 2017 and i made a thread to share any information. Anyone heard anything from them ?

hey guys, are the calls you are getting acceptance calls into the program or calls that you qualify for the lottery? I don't understand why some are getting called and others are not. I was under the impression that they would call everyone around the same time whether or not we got in. Not sure why it's being scattered like this.

I just called 2 minutes ago. The lottery already happened, the people that received phone calls already are of the 50 people who got into the program. From next week until early June, we will be mailed an 'alternate' invitation if we want to continue the process. What a bummer, LACC was my first choice since it's so close to where I live ;( I applied to GCC, PCC, LA County and Trade Tech-- no answer yet.

I wouldn't lose hope just yet. Not everyone that got selected will pull through. A lot of people apply to a lot of programs and get more than one acceptance. There is a chance that people will drop last minute and you can get a chance to get in after all. Stay positive so good things come your way! :)

Did anyone receive their letter of acceptance with details yet? If so, is there a deadline to claim your spot? I'm out of town currently and I'm worried that I'll miss the deadline for acceptance since I can't get my mail.

Please let us know the deadline to claim the spot. That would give us 'alternates' an idea of when spots will start to open. I won't lose hope yet!!!

Yes! I'll be checking my mail box first thing when I get home. Once I receive the letter, I will make sure to update you guys with the deadline information.

Hey~ LACC has already been calling people who get in the program however they only send a letter if they dont get accepted.

Hi guys,

I still haven't received anything in the mail. I called the nursing Dept today and they said that my packet should be mailed out sometime next week or in the beginning of June. Keeping my fingers crossed that it happens next week as I'm starting to feel anxious :/

I'm an alternate. Anyone else on the alternate list? I called the office today and that's how I found out.
