Lacc nursing fall 2017

Published

Hello, i applied lacc nursing for fall 2017 and i made a thread to share any information. Anyone heard anything from them ?

I have done further research and spoke with the staff at LA County, you are not guaranteed a job at LAC+USC & you must pay them back 6 months after graduation. I have decided to attend LACC because it is much closer to where I live & I am interested in their ADN-BSN collab w/ Cal State LA (which I will be able to afford if I attend their school). The main disadvantage is their NCLEX pass rates which aren't so bad, but I noticed that the school is trying to make improvements.

Did you guys pay for the two classes coming up? Does anyone know what happens after?

I called yesterday about payment info and they told me that we should register & pay no later than this week. They're open on Saturdays as well but close earlier. After registering for the MOAB and fire safety class we basically are gonna have wait until the 16th to attend, and I'm guessing that is when our orientation will take place where we will find out more info about the program, registering for classes, uniforms, etc.

Did you guys buy the Castlebranch Badge? Do you think it will be useful? Cause I know we need to have background checks each semester. Would this help waive the $87 each time?

I did buy it. I think we only need background checks once a year according to the fee schedule but we need drug tests each semester.

I bought the badge just in case we need it. An additional $12 doesn't hurt.

Where do we park for tomorrow and Thursday? I'm not familiar with the parking situation at LACC.

There is a daily $2 parking lot across the street from LACC.

Does anyone know if the alternates were supposed to submit anything today?

Hello, I just wanted to get an answer from students already a Lacc. How was first semester ? I got accepted for Spring 2018 & I want to get an idea of what to expect. Hope someone still checks this. Lol

Hi Van! Just curious if you ended up getting accepted into LACC Fall 2017 after starting at #30 on the alternate list?
