Hello, i applied lacc nursing for fall 2017 and i made a thread to share any information. Anyone heard anything from them ?
I am not an alternate. I was accepted back in May.Did the alternates get their medical packet yet? It takes some time to get that stuff ready, though you probably wouldn't want to spend the money if you're not guaranteed a spot yet.
Oh ok. Congratulations. Thanks for keeping us updated with new info.
No medical packet received yet. I'm sure they will give us more time to complete it if we get accepted later on.
Hi guys,
I know the wait is tedious, specially when its hard to get answers. I got accepted and I also received my packet. Please try to improvise and try to be ready so you wont have to cram everything last minute. I can give you a few tips for those of you that have not received your packet.
1- Have all you immunizations up-to-date such as Hep B, MMR, VZV, TDAP, yearly Influenza Vaccine and yearly TB shot. You will need physical proof so obtain a copy for your records. You may also ask your doctor to run titers on these to make sure you're really immune (specially if you can't get a hold of your immunization card).
2- Have a physical done along with your routine blood work (ask to add: UA, CBC & RPR as they are required) so it would be easier for you to get an appt for the doctor to fill-out your form later versus having to schedule a physical last minute and wait for the lab results.
3- Take a BLS certification class from American Heart Association accreditation only
I hope this helps!
