Labor and Delivery

I am wanting to become a labor and delivery nurse. I am writing a research paper on this topic and I am finding it hard to find any information. My paper is going to talk about what schooling, eductaion, etc. is needed, the labor and delivery process, and what a labor and delivery nurse does. I would apprectiate if anyone could help me. And if so, I need any information as soon as possible. Thank you so much!

I did a similar project for the postpartum unit. I called and made an appointment to speak with the nurse manager. I made out a list of questions first. She was very helpful! She gave me all sorts of hand outs and copies of the clinical pathways used on that floor for assessment and documentation. :)

Do a search on the OB forum as well. I know I remember someone asking a similar question over there and getting some fairly detailed answers.
