Lab values.......please help!!!!!!!

Published

Hello everyone!! I need your help please. I take the NCLEX RN on the 9th of this month and I'm not sure which values I'm supposed to be studying. I'm trying to learn as many as possible but its not going to help if I don't know the most accurate "normal" values to analyze. I know that there are some that there are minor normal differences but some of them are important to be exact as possible to know whether it is too high or low. I've been studying off the Kaplan qbank, exam cram and the NCLEX 4000 CD and the rationales a lot of times are different regarding the correct "normal" values.

Please.....can anyone help me with where to find most accurate values or what the values you used? I would VERY much appreciate it!!!

Congradulations on your graduating RN school and good luck with the nyclex. I am a Lpn and dont remeber that being on our test but i am sure rn is different.

THANKS SSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I'm still worried about these labs.......hhhmmmmmm :uhoh3:

definately know the lab values of electrolytes. I had a LOT of fluid balance questions, K, Ca, Mg, phos, chlor, na...and know which ones are inverse. I had a question about in cushings you'd expect to see .... and they listed hyper/hypo of diff electrolytes. and abg values.

I take mine the 9th as well :uhoh21: you can study off of some flashcards I made http://www.flashcardexchange.com/flashcards/view/916129 I got them from Hurst Review. From what I have heard about the NCLEX, not all of them are crucial to know, I skip over the CPK ones for example. Good luck, and make sure you know infection control!

Oh my gosh!! Thanks for the replies!! I really appreciate any help.....you are all awesome!! :yeah:
