La Roche University CRNA DNAP Fall 2022

I’m starting a thread for the La Roche CRNA program for Fall 2022. I haven’t seen many people talk about the program recently and only since some old forums back in 2004 and I think 2018 or something. I just did an interview recently and I know the program is currently under review and had a meeting with the COA to officially become accredited this fall semester. Is anyone else applying to this program? If so, have you guys interviewed or got accepted?

I did see they just received their accreditation. I have not heard back from them yet though.

Hi I have an interview coming up! Can you tell me more about how your interview went and the types of questions they asked? TIA!

Personally, my interview went really well. I was nervous at first and I actually told them I was and they told me to relax and be myself and I did just that. They asked about my experience and asked some personality type of questions. They also asked me about some critical care knowledge I had based on 4 different types of scenarios. You really dictate the way the interview goes so if you say you had experience about CVICU stuff then they’ll ask questions based on what you tell them you experience so don’t lie. I made them laugh a couple of times and so that also help to lighten the mood. Eventually it didn’t even feel like an interview anymore. Also, ask tons of questions about the program. Good luck! ?

Have they reached out by now? That seems awfully weird. I hope they gave you an interview or sum

Thank you for responding! Did they accept you into the fall program? What type of questions would you say I should brush up on? What type of clinical questions would you say I should know more about? I come from a medical ICU as well so I definitely won’t be talking about CVICU experience. It’s a virtual interview by the way.

yes they have accepted me to their fall semester. As for the clinical questions, it’s literally ICU scenarios you’ve more than likely experienced. I don’t think it’ll be a good idea to tell you exactly what they asked me but for sure brush up on basic ACLS, your pressors, artline usages, etc… Look into the pharmacological along with the pathophysiology of meds. Always think like a provider and try to explain WHY you are doing things.

Hey thank you for your support and guidance! It really didn't feel like a super intense interview like I had planned for! The directors were super kind and easy to talk to! The clinical questions were answerable as well. Nice way to gauge your understanding and underlying pathophysiology. Thanks again OP! I'll see you in the fall ?

Did you end up going to La Roche? How are you liking the program so far?? Do you feel adequately supported by the faculty?

Yes I accepted there offer and the program is great! The faculty and staff are very supportive and easy to approach. It’s very welcoming and I’m glad I chose them over other programs I had interviews for.
