LA harbor college nursing fall 2018

Published

Hello,

I was just wondering did anybody else apply to LA Harbor College Nursing for Fall 2018? Do you guys have anything to share about the application, or application process, teas, or anything ?

Hi!

I also applied to LAHC for the fall term, glad to have come across your post!

Ok cool. We should be hearing back from them in a few weeks... it said 4-6 weeks after the deadline. Did you take your TEAS already ? Or did you apply to any other schools ?

I took the TEAS a while ago. I applied to a lot of schools such as Golden West , Cerritos, Santa Ana , and Mount Saint Mary's. I'm looking into applying to more though haha

Glad I found this post. I also applied to La Harbor, im just waiting on the status which is driving me crazy hahaha. I applied at Rio Hondo, and GW as well. Hopefully we hear something soon!

This is my 3rd time applying to LAHC, hopefully we all get in this upcoming semester.

I also applied for fall 2018. Anyone know by when we will be notified if we move on to the next step?

Specializes in New Grad.

Hi Everyone!

Harbor's website it mentioned that we should receive our TEAS invitation by the end of March or early April.

This is is my second time applying to LAHC. The application process for Harbor is very long and can be frustrating to wait and figure out what your next move should be. It took about four months last semester to be informed if I was accepted or not and I wasn't. To those who are applying for the first time, I would recommend preparing for the Teas. The ATI practice test are expensive, but very helpful and similar to the actual test.

Right now I am reviewing Anatomy and Physiology since the nursing program will be building off these fundalmentals. I was also thinking about becoming a CNA in the mean time, I'm scared I will have wasted money if it turns out I was accepted for fall, but you never know with these random lotteries.

I hope for for the best for all of you, especially you Erl09 hopefully you'll get in after apply a forth time. Stay positive guys, we can do this!

:)

@BokChoi18 thank you, same to you!

On the slides it says 4-6 weeks from deadline, that would be this week hopefully...I would totally prepare for the teas just in case, otherwise you won't be ready if you happen to be invited/accepted. You will most likely need the TEAS for other programs also, so being prepared and taking it is the best plan

I called the office on Monday, and they told me notifications will be going out early April via laccd email. Not to expect anything in March. Anyone applying to LACC?

Glad I came back to look at this..I don't get why they can't update all applicants when they are clearly off their tentative 4-6 weeks
