LA County Exam

I have a question. This is my first time posting, so I hope it's in the right place:

I just took the LA County exam to work at the county hospitals. I got to question #7 and ran out of time. Am I completely screwed or is that pretty common? Anyone know?

No. It depends on what you applied for.

I applied for every RN 1 position. So, I was cleared for Public Health RN1 but I’m waiting on Resource RN1.

Also, I applied for regular RN1 as well as with Correctional (Sheriffs Dept).

How long does it usually take to receive an invitation to take the exam?

That's an excellent question.

I applied March 31st and was asked to take their assessment exams in May. So, I'd say around 6-8 weeks, give or take a week or two.

What does the exam consist of? For example, is it nursing related questions or is it just general such as English and Math?

One is a personality test. Don’t even try to figure that one out.

The other was not nursing related but I can’t really tell you. You sign a non-disclosure agreement. But I will tell you: you get practice questions before taking it.
