LA County Exam

I have a question. This is my first time posting, so I hope it's in the right place:

I just took the LA County exam to work at the county hospitals. I got to question #7 and ran out of time. Am I completely screwed or is that pretty common? Anyone know?

Did you pass?

I won't find out for a bit. It's my understanding I will get a letter in a few weeks, but I might hear from recruiters in the next 2 weeks.
So... ?‍♂️

I’m in the same boat. And I don’t know even know if my answers were correct. Sucks

I got to question 7 and as I answered it the system smturned off. So, I think I got 7 in & I think I got them all right.

But, apparently, it's common for most people not to finish but still score well & get on their list.

I took my exam on Monday just got an email today that I passed at 95% even though I didn’t get to finish the last timed portion of the test. I honestly thought I failed by not finishing the exam. Keep faith! Good luck ?

I just got an email saying I scored an 80%. So, I'm on the list & can start calling the recruiting departments!

Any tips on how to study for the county exam?

When you receive your email to take the exam there are links to study materials.

Before the actual exam there is a "practice" section (4 or 5 questions) which are just like the questions you'll encounter during the times exam.

That's really all I can tell you. There's no real way to prepare other than that, as far as I know.

Is it through SHL?

I still hasn't received an email regarding result. Probably a failed it -.-

No. It depends on what you applied for.

I applied for every RN 1 position. So, I was cleared for Public Health RN1 but I’m waiting on Resource RN1.

Also, I applied for regular RN1 as well as with Correctional (Sheriffs Dept).
