Hello everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for those of us who applied to the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health for the LVN-RN bridge Summer 2014 cohort. I took the TEAS V on 2/22/14 and I passed with the 5 bonus points! Yay! This is the only school I want to go to and really hope I get in otherwise I have to wait another semester since this is the ONLY school I applied to! yikes! So I am anxiously waiting for the acceptance letters to be sent out in mid-April! I am a little nervous since I have not worked as an LVN so I hope that my schooling has prepared me enough for this program! We will see!

Hi! I also applied for the Summer 2014 cohort, I really hope i get in this time around!do you know whats the cut off points?

Well lovemyboys, if you need any help with clinical duties and I'm there with you, I will surely help you out. Hopefully we will both be there and can support each other.

@summer I think the points differ for the LVNs...not to sure what it is. If I find out ill post it.

Yay! I am so happy some other LVNs have replied! Thank you ispilledink2, I will definitely ask for your help if I need it! Summer2013, at the orientation they said that last summer the LVN point cut off was 75 points, I'm not sure about this year though but I have heard that the cutoff is usually lower for the LVNs. I have been pretty chill about waiting to find out, that is until we hit April and now I have been getting more and more anxious! If you guys have a choice which clinical site would you prefer to be at? I really want to have mine at LAC+USC since it is much closer than Olive View.

So Summer2013, did you apply last year?

oh my gosh, now I am REALLY freaking out!!!! I just called the school and they said that NEXT WEEK acceptance letters will be going out!!!!! AHHHHHAH! I can't believe this is happening!!!!!!!! I feel like this --> :roflmao:

If I get in I will choose LA County general. It's very close for me. However I will go where ever they send me. As long is I get started in Summer I will be very grateful.

Really next week? Whoa...now I'm sweating it. I've been praying so hard. Do you think the questionnaire gets considered? When they are making there decision.

Oh wow 75 points! Yes its my 2nd time applying, i applied last year as well but didnt get in. For clinicals I would prefer the LAC+USC its much closer!

wait acceptance letters are going out! for LVn to Rn ? or for Generic?

ispillledink, yes I too will take any place they assign me but would prefer LAC. Yes, next week she said they will start notifying!

I've been praying for peace because I have been stressing! I'm not sure about the questionnaire and how (if at all) it is weighted.

Summer2013, well I really hope you ,make it this year, you have an extra point now!

What are your guys' total points, if you don't mind me asking?
