I am using the LaCharitybook, and I am no sure what it is suppose to be doing for me... I get some right some wrong and I was just wondering how does this book or how did this book help some people! I am going to be taking my NCLEX for the 3rd time and just don't know what to do! the Last time I took the test I got 265 questions anf failed and my report said that I was NEAR PASSING in everything. WHAT DO I DO?
i took my nclex last march 29 and the books i used were saunders and la charity. la charity was a big help in answering the prioritization, and delegation in my exam. it will teach how to answer these type of questions. it has a way of teaching you how to choose what is the first thing to do. answering delegation questions in my nclex was a breeze because of la charity. that is how it helped me.
It's supposed to help you figure out how to prioritize which patients you should see first, which tasks you should delegate to other staff and what assignments are appropriate for other staff based on their position and training.
I think the delivery for doing so seems odd because the book doesn't really tell you how to do any of that, it just has questions. Reading the rationales (even on the questions you get right) is really important in this book as that's where the information is.
