L&D summary on resume

Specialties Ob/Gyn

I don't know why but I am having a hard time writing that little summary blurb part about what your position entails ..... what do you include in yours?? Please help me out! I can't seem to get it to sound right, and don't know if I am including the right things or not. This goes for both my current L&D job as well as past nursing positions in med surg. The worst is when I was a travler and did something different on every assignment. I thought I had the resume thing all figured out but mine is just a mess. Your help is so appreciated!!

Sometimes, when you have a lot of experience, it just confuses people to list too much on the resume. Just focus on the characteristics that the employer you will be giving it to will be looking for. I have had long resumes be hurtful in applying for jobs. Sometimes shorter is better.

Just focus on those experiences/traits you possess as they will be of benefit to the employer and the specific position you wish to fill. keep it succint and to the point. bargainhound is right; to be too wordy likely will hurt you as most reviewers don't have time to wade thru many LONG, wordy resumes. i wish you the best of luck!!!!!:) :kiss
