L&D nurse looking to relocate

Hey everyone! My name is Kayla. I am a L&D nurse in Winchester, Virginia. I have 2 years of L&D experience and 4.5 years of Ortho/Bariatrics/Medical-Surgical. I am looking to move to Savannah, Georgia. I actually have applications in at Memorial and St. Joseph's/Candler, but I have not heard anything back. I just got my GA license this week. I would love to get some insight from anyone who works/lives in the Savannah area. Thanks!!

I moved to Savannah from Winchester in 2011. :) If you worked for Valley Health, you'll probably find that the pay is similar here, maybe slightly higher. Did you have your GA license when you applied? They won't even look at you until you have that.

I currently work at Winchester Medical Center. Thanks for letting me know about the pay. I have been a little concerned about it. I didn't have my GA license when I applied. I do have it now. I talked the the recruiter at Memorial yesterday and told her that I have it now. I updated it on my application this week on the one for Candler. I have looked an the positions I have applied for are still active. Where do you work? Thanks for your input!!

I am in the Army and work near Savannah for my full-time job, but I am going to be working part-time/casual at Memorial in the ER.
