Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Advanced Entry (BSN-AE)

Published

Hello!

I will be starting the AE-BSN at KPU, and was wondering what the curriculum sort of looked like. I looked at the course descriptions, and it seems like most of them are delivered online however how many times would be the approx. expected amount to be in person (I live a little further out and was curious as to what my commute would be looking like). And also just any more info would be much appreciated on what to expect! Thank you so much!!

Hi!! I'm also a part of the fall 2025 intake for BSN AE, im wondering if there is a facebook group made for cohort mates? 🙂

You are only on-site during lab, semester 1 about a week and a half, semester 2, 4 days and semester 3, 2.5 weeks, but is broken up by week during the term. Semester 4, 4 days. Not sure what the general GPA but as long as you have the minimum requirements and get your documents in right away you will be accepted. It is first qualified  first accepted. Hope this helps!

Hi! I got my admissions offer to start in January 2026 and was wondering if you could please tell me the breakdown of these in-class days. Are the in-class labs on consecutive days or spread across the semester? Would you please be able to tell me when they occur? Do you think it's possible for students to live in another province throughout the program and just fly out for the in-class labs? Vancouver rent is very expensive :'). Thanks for all your help!

The dates of lab vary, you won't know until your semester starts. Keep in mind you need to be in town for clinical as well. You could fly in for a couple weeks then fly out. Or some out of town students stay in lowermainland up until semester 4 after that you need just to be town for clinical and no lab after semester 4.

Thanks for answering! Are the clinicals typically in the same weeks as the labs, or are labs completed first before clinicals? And are the in-class dates spread apart or within the same week(s)? Thanks again, really appreciated

Labs are always before the clinicals. Labs are generally grouped together.
